Live music in Rome: Rock Cover Dance & fun
The Bucket Band plays in clubs and festivals of central Italy since 1996.
The group consists of four elements:
Junior James (vocals / guitar),
David D’Amore (guitar),
Slick (bass)
and Augusto Zanonzini (drums)
and plays the best vintage blues.
Junior James was struck by the music of Albert King back in '69 in England. Now is dedicated to those songs - like those of Albert - that strike without hurting. Critics and musicians for once agree about David D'Amore, that it is nearly three meters tall, weighs 69 pounds and is an internationally well-known artist and photographer, has the best equipped scooter of Rome and is the most subtle interpreter of the electric blues in Italy.
At age of 19, Slick entered a famous club in Chicago where a blues band was playing, whose bass player was not only a woman, was not only white, but she was also very pregnant. Since then he has nurtured a dream that could not achieve with either the piano or the cello (he already played both).
For the first night of The Bucket Band, Slick was pregnant at the ninth month. For the battery, The Bucket Band relies on both sticks of Augustus Zanonzini and Sandro Salvi, both well-known Italian "session men" .
